Yuzu Coconut Slushie
This one feels like a treat from a tropical vacation, even if you’re just in the backyard with a kiddie pool. Yuzu is another citrus fruit, common in Japan, that tastes like lemon and grapefruit had a baby.

🍑 Peach-Vanilla Smoothie (For the Cautious Kid)
Not every child is adventurous with food — and that’s perfectly fine. This one is for the kids who like things sweet, creamy, and predictable. It’s mostly peach and vanilla with just a tiny kiss of citrus.
Recipe: Peach-Vanilla Smoothie
You’ll need:
- 1 cup sliced peaches (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup orange juice — or just a teaspoon of calamansi if you’re feeling brave
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
How to make it:
- Blend everything until smooth.
- Serve cold in a cup or pour into molds and freeze as popsicles.
Mom tip: Add a few crushed graham crackers on top if you want to turn it into a smoothie bowl.
Strawberry, Watermelon & Calamansi Pops
This is a fruity favorite in our house — it uses what we usually have on hand (strawberries and watermelon) with just a little calamansi for a twist.

A Little Flavor Goes a Long Way
Trying new flavors with your kids doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Sometimes all it takes is swapping out lemon for calamansi or adding a splash of yuzu to a smoothie. You can start small and adjust to your child’s taste — and who knows, they might surprise you!
