Hi everyone! I hope that this list will prove to be as helpful and supportive to me as I think it will. My name is Jennifer and I have one child. Brennen is now 13 mos old. After a long labor, he was born via c/s. It is a long story and ot but my birth experience was not what I had hoped for. So I was determined to nurse even more. I wanted to prove that I could do something I wanted. (Maybe "prove" is the wrong word?) Anyway, despite help from LC's and LLL and after doing everything right, my baby would NOT gain weight! He was maybe gaing 1/2 oz every three days. It was not good. Lets face it. I felt like a failure.

I tried everything! But I finally had to resort to formula. I hated that! What I am glad about is that I successfully used an SNS to supplement. We used it for about six months when Brennen weaned himself off of it. I still nurse him (without an sns) and plan to let him wean himself. It is a happy ending. But I worry myself about the next baby. Will I have to use that dumb sns again? How I long to nurse a baby and nurish their little body on nothing but my own milk! I welcome any comments or questionns. I have kept this short b/c Brennen will probably be getting up soon to nurse and I wanted to finish. But I am always looking for ppl with similar situations for support and encouragement. I hope to one day find the "answer" to why I couldnt make enough milk. I have searched for this a long time but only find dead ends.
